Dua: After a meal
الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ الَّذِي أَطْعَمَنَا وَسَقَانَا وَجَعَلَنَا مِنَ الْمُسْلِمِينَ
Transliteration: Alhamdulillah il-lathi at'amana wasaqana waja'alana Muslimeen.
English Translation: "All praise belongs to Allah, who fed us and quenched our thirst and made us Muslims".

اللهمَ اجْعَلْنِى خَيْرًا مِمَّا يَظُنُّونَ وَاغْفِرْ لِى مَا لَا يَعْلَمُونَ وَلَا تُؤَاخِذْنِى بِمَايَقُولُون
Transliteration: Allahumma-ja’lni khayran mima yadhunoon wa-ghfir li ma la ya’lamoon wa la tu’akhidhni bi ma yaquloon
English Translation: O Allah, make me better than what they think of me, and forgive me for what they do not know about me, and do not take me to account for what they say about me.

Mufti Kamani: Being Generous
Dua: to Give Thanks to Allah (swt)
الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ الَّذِي هَدَانَا لِهَذَا وَمَا كُنَّا لِنَهْتَدِيَ لَوْلا أَنْ هَدَانَا اللَّهُ
“All the praises and thanks be to Allah, Who has guided us to this, and never could we have found guidance, were it not that Allah had guided us!”
(Aayah No. 43, Surah Al-A’raf, Chapter No. 7, Holy Qur’an).

Dua: for a Guest
اللَّهُمَّ بَارِكْ لَهُمْ فِيمَا رَزَقْتَهُمْ ، وَاغْفِرْ لَهُمْ وَارْحَمْهُمْ
Transliteration: allaahumma baarik lahum fee maa razaqtahum, waghfir lahum war-ḥamhum
English Translation: O Allah, bless for them, that which You have provided them, forgive them and have mercy upon them.
اللَّهُمَّ بَارِكْ لَهُمْ فِيمَا رَزَقْتَهُمْ ، وَاغْفِرْ لَهُمْ وَارْحَمْهُمْ

"Generosity in Islam is the highest form of selflessness"
The benefits and virtues of this Ayah are numerous and here are some of them:
• A Guarantee of Paradise inshallah!
• It was narrated that Abu Umamah said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: “Whoever recites Ayat Al-Kursi immediately after each prescribed Prayer, there will be nothing standing between him and his entering Paradise except death.” (Reported by An-Nasa’i and Ibn Hibban.)
• In it the Most Great Name of Allah (ismullahi al-’atham) is mentioned.
• It protects one’s self, property and home from the shayatin (devils) and brings one relief from difficulties.
• The believer who recites it following an obligatory salah is under the Care and Protection of Allah until the commencement of the next prayer.
• It is the only place in the Quran where the Kursi (Footstool of Allah) is mentioned
• It brings an abundance of blessings when recited and blown upon food and drink

Dua: for the one who does you a favor
جَزَاكَ اللهُ خَيْرًا
Transliteration: jazaak-allaahu khayran
English Translation: "May Allah reward you with good."
When the word generosity comes into mind, one often relates it to giving or donating; however, generosity comes in many different forms. A forgiving human being can be labeled as being generous. The following hadith expands on this idea.
Students tend to be nervous prior to a quiz or test in school. However, this dua'a helps seal the knowledge gained from studying and aH makes your exam less difficult than intended. Moreover, those students who put their trust in Allah when not only taking tests in school, but facing tests of this world, and he seeks His help whilst following the prescribed means, in accordance with the the Prophet's (pbuh) words:
“The strong believer is better and is more beloved to Allaah than the weak believer, although both are good. Strive to attain that which will benefit you and seek the help of Allaah, and do not feel helpless.” (Saheeh Muslim, hadeeth no. 2664)
